Call for Papers, Symposia and Posters

We invite proposals for papers, symposia and posters to be presented at the conference on Research and Innovation in Classroom Assessment: International Perspectives. A proposal form, together with the relevant abstract(s) and presenter details, must be submitted to the Conference Program Subcommittee no later than 31 July 2016.

Abstract Review Process

Abstracts will be blindly reviewed by two reviewers and assessed against the following criteria:

    • Relevance of the topic to the conference theme
    • Clarity of research question(s) and/or the focus of enquiry
    • Significance for classroom assessment research, practice, or policy
    • Potential to engage audience
Notification of acceptance of your proposal will be sent to you by email by 5 August 2016.

You may submit only one proposal as first name presenter.

Specifications for the different presentations

All presentations should relate to the conference theme of research and innovation in classroom assessment.

Papers: Presentations should be planned for delivery in 20 minutes, allowing a further 10 minutes for discussion. Abstracts should be 150-200 words excluding references.

Symposia: Proposals for a symposium will involve a minimum of two presentations and a discussant. Total time for a symposium will be 90 minutes. Participants need to submit a 150-200 word overview of the theme of the symposium, as well as individual abstracts for each presentation within the symposium of 150-200 words excluding references.

Posters: Poster presentations will occur during a lunch session and a Concurrent Session. Abstracts should be 150-200 words excluding references. Guidelines for posters will be provided.

All PowerPoint presentations should be submitted to the Conference Program Subcommittee on the morning of your presentation for uploading.

Full Papers

Full papers may be submitted for refereeing. A full paper must be submitted to the conference program committee no later than 29 August 2016 to Marijne Slager.

Papers preferably should be no more than 3000 words in Times New Roman 12 point font, including abstract, references, graphics and tables, and comply with APA 6 referencing.

Refereed papers that are accepted by reviewers will be made available on the conference website.
